Porter Diamonds, YIp s 4 Internationalism drivers, four main types of international strategy, ansoff matrix, International strategy.
Answers should be based on these. One of these questions is on business strategy, one on corporate strategy and one may be from any part of the course.
Format of writing the answer :
•Introduction – short, a couple of sentences
•Analysis applying the appropriate framework directly – probably best with a support in diagram form
•Supporting evidence must be given for the location or categorisation of each item on the diagram or in your text – linking the underlying structure of the model or framework to the information in the case
•Evaluate the strategic decision making or other aspect required – using information from the case, could the decisions or actions have been improved, what would have been the effect of taking different decisions or doing things in a different way?
•Conclusion – short, a couple of sentences
•Demonstrate that you have engaged with the module by using module concepts in your answers
•Define terms, use diagrams to set out models
•Apply the models directly on your diagrams with evidence to support your application
•Use lots of material from the case relating it to concepts from the module relevant to the question set
•Evaluate (e.g., pros and cons, good/bad, alternative ideas) always drawing clear conclusions
