We continue to develop new technology, or we find new and innovated ways to use existing technology. This discussion will examine emerging technology and its application to teaching and learning.
Prior to completing this discussion review New Media Consortium (2016) and read Churchill, Lu, & Chiu (2014) and Spector (2013). In addition, view Koller (2012).Initial Post: Create an initial response that addresses the following:First, Select a new or emerging technology, either from the Horizon Report or your own research. An “emerging” technology could be described as one of the following:A new technology that has just come into existence in the past few years.
An existing technology, where in the past few years, has been used in new ways.
An existing technology where you believe there is still “untapped” potential to use it in new and innovative ways.
Next, evaluate the application of the technology to learning and instruction. Within your evaluation:Provide an overview of the technology.
Explain why your selected technology is consider “emerging”.
Provide an example how the technology is or could be used to support teaching and learning.
Provide the challenges associated with using the technology to support teaching and learning and how you might overcome these challenges.
Use at least two scholarly and/or credible sources to support any claims, assertions, or conclusions
