This paper is not intended to be a research paper. My expectations are that you will demonstrate an earnest engagement with the topic of the assignment. Make sure to dedicate attention to defining all terms, though. Do not cite dictionaries when providing definitions. Use your own words to explain the key terms of the topic.
This assignment is due Tuesday, November 30 at 11:59:00 pm.
Write a 250 to 300-word ESSAY reflection upon the quote below.
In Section One of Kant’s Groundwork, he discusses four different kinds of action in relation to duty. One of those categories of actions is — an action done in accord with duty and with an inclination to the action. For this paper, do the following:
1. explain what he means by an action done in accord with duty and with an inclination to the action;
2. explain why Kant would say that doing the right thing from inclination to that action does not make the action moral;
3. provide an example from your experience that fits within that category; and
4. use your example to demonstrate your understanding of Kant’s position.
Make sure to dedicate the majority of your response to clarifying Kant’s thought. Dedicate at most 1/3 of your response to describing/relating your example.
