This theme emphasises the knowledge, understanding and capabilities required for coaching or leading people in the organization, suppliers and other stakeholders to further the objectives of improved procurement and supply. The theme focuses on how staff support improved procurement and supply both internally and externally to the organization.
Task:
You are required to submit a 2,500-word report, addressing the following:
Describe, and provide work-based evidence, of how you support improved procurement and supply in Telecom industry, both internally and externally to the organization.
The sort of content expected within your report:
• Explain the role of a leader and the importance of effective leadership.
• Critique the main approaches to leadership such as:
i. The qualities or traits approach
ii. Functional or group approaches such as action-centred learning
iii. Styles of leadership such as autocratic, democratic and laissez-faire
• Review the behaviours for effective leadership, such as situational leadership, transformational and inspirational leadership, and solo versus team leadership.
