For this assignment, you will provide the hiring committee with a writing sample to discuss the roles and responsibilities of the human services professional and your social problem.
Please respond to the following:
Explain the specific roles, responsibilities, and functions/activities of the position you identified, including advocating for social change and leadership in diverse practice settings. (½ page minimum)
Identify a social problem you are passionate about and describe the purpose and history of major policies related to this social problem. (2–3 pages minimum)
For example, if your social problem is related to child welfare, then you will need to describe a significant policy or policies related to child welfare, the main purpose of the child welfare policy, and the key historical events or influential individuals.
Last, explain how these roles and functions as an advocate and leader help to alleviate the identified social problem. (1 page minimum)
Your assignment should be a 3–5 page expository essay, not including the title and reference pages, and should include the following elements:
Title page: Provide your name, title of assignment, course and section number, and date.
Body: Answer all the questions in complete sentences and paragraphs.
