The topics of the Communication Process and the Six parts of the model are discussed in chapter 9. The practice of conveying information from one person to another in order to generate a sense of mutual understanding and emotion is known as communication. Communication does not imply agreement; it only indicates that the information was transmitted and received as intended. Encoding, message, channel, decoding, feedback, and noise are the six components of the communication process model. Encoding is the process by which a message sender converts a thought, idea, or fact into a message composed of symbols, images, or words. The encoded data that is being transmitted is referred to as the message. Channels include voice, text, graphics, videos, intranets, the Internet, television, and body language. Decoding is the process of interpreting and translating a message so that the recipient may understand it. Feedback assesses the effectiveness of communication. Noise is defined as anything that interferes with, distorts, or alters the message intended to be communicated by the sender.

As stated in the textbook in the chapter 9, Communication is the process of transmitting information from one person to another to create a shared understanding and feeling. The word communication meaning to share or make common. Communication does not mean agreeing, only that information is transmitted and received as it was intended.

The six parts of the model are:

Encoding occurs when the message sender converts a thought, idea, or fact into a message composed of symbols, pictures, or words.

The message is the encoded information being sent.

The channel is the medium used to send the message to the receiver.

Decoding Translating the message back into something that can be understood by the receiver.

Feedback A check on the success of the communication

Noise Anything that blocks, distorts, or changes in any way the message.
