You will write on the issue of abortion and our ethical theories. This is more than an opinion piece, but a systematic exploration of the different ethical theories and how they would deal with the argument. This will take critical thinking on your part by reading the textbook and watching the videos and synthesizing the information to explain the arguments. Googling will not help.
– Explain abortion according to all three different theories: Utilitarianism, Kantian deontology, and Natural Law.
– Answer these questions for each
Is abortion permissible under this theory? Why or why not?
Explain the major motivation for each theory’s position
Explain an objection given in the book or videos for the course (this will likely take putting information together from the different videos)
What position to you agree with most and why?
You may “recycle” arguments that you have already used as your arguments (and even your responses) if you like.
This paper must be 800-1000 words. Your sources should be the book and videos. No outside sources are needed.
