Assignment
Over the next week students will receive instructor feedback on their Exploratory Essays through Blackboard. Using this feedback, students should make necessary revisions to their essays based on comments from the instructor. Beyond these basic revisions, students should also expand and develop their ideas into more academic, critical analyses of the things they laugh at by applying at least two of the readings we’re discussing to the ideas in their Exploratory Essays.
Think of the things we’re reading as different sets of lenses through which you can view yourself and our course theme. Then use those readings/lenses to look at yourself through those lenses as you revise your essays to be more thorough and academic. Doing this will probably also require you to develop your thesis into a more complex, nuanced argument about your sense of humor.
All sources should come from our course textbook or required readings and should be cited according to MLA format as we will begin discussing over the coming weeks.
Formal Requirements and Due Dates
Length: Final essays should be 3-5 typed, double-spaced pages and no more than 12 pt. font (in a reasonable font). Essays should include a Works Cited page with entries for each text used in the essay. The Works Cited page does not count toward your final page count.
this is the feedback from the last essay you wrote for me now we just have to add on to it this is what the teacher said about the last essay though.
This has some good ideas, but the body of the essay does not explore everything identified in the intro. You need to continue to develop this with more examples and better organization, including a clear thesis and a conclusion that ties it all together and makes a point about what your sense of humor says about you and/or the role that humor plays in your life.

Regarding the first question I think I like the spontaneity of things and wittiness and newness about different experiences in life like David was talking about in his first paragraph. , what we think, and wherein we triumph when we laugh, is not hitherto declared by any. That it consists in wit, or, as they call it, in the jest, experience confutes: for men laugh at mischances and indecencies, wherein there lies no wit nor jest at all. And forasmuch as the same thing is no more ridiculous when it grows stale or usual, whatsoever it be that moves laughter, it must be new and unexpected.
The second question same essay from David but he made me look at my essay in a different way. We need to have love and laughter in your life if you don’t . you will have anger and fear in your life. Fear is the the opposite of love. And you can not love someone until you have trust. Now it may be observed, that young children do not laugh aloud for some months. The first occasion of doing this seems to be a surprise, which brings on a momentary fear first, and then a momentary joy in consequence of the removal of that fear, agreeably to what may be observed of the pleasures that follow the removal of pain.
