sources are not permitted. please use APA references and remember to cite any concepts,
readings, or information in general that is not your own; thus, anything you get from someone
else requires a citation.
Please do not copy and paste identical sentences from your textbook and
use your own words and analysis. In that case you do not need to do in text citation but if you
use anything directly from the book or any outside concept or material, you need to reference it.
Please be mindful of the fact that there are different ways to cite the textbook, lecture, and
tutorial: ensure you are citing correctly given the guidelines stipulated by the citation format.
Your paper should be approximately between 1200 to 2000 words (2 to 4 pages) , excluding
references and a title page. Please ensure your thesis statement is in bold. Font 12,
Times new Roman.
In marking your assignments, your TAs will be looking to see how you defend your thesis
statement by using course content, and critical analysis and engagement with course
material––consequently, simply reiterating what the book says without critically examining the
content is inadequate. They will additionally be looking to see if your paper has good flow;
academic tone used throughout; proper grammar and punctuation; and whether you cite properly.
