The project is focused on the Diabetic population and preventing Metabolic syndrome, information directed to the patient is what is expected to be within the brochure. As you have been learning about this population while working on your project the information you’ve gained should assist you in educating your population.
1. What specific information did you recognize they need to prevent Diabetes from developing into Metabolic Syndrome?
2. what signs and symptoms do they need to recognize and report to a provider?
3. What actions should they take, what specific follow-up should they expect?
4. what types of foods should they eat?
5. what type of exercise can they do?
6. how often should they be self-monitoring, etc.
These are just some examples; you can be creative. Always keeping in mind that when you are educating a population you do not assume to know their education level and must present information in as simple and clear laymen’s terms as possible.
