Each Student is expected to choose a topic- Anatomy of Crime and write a well-researched and well-developed 7-8 page paper on this topic. The paper must be written using a scholarly voice, the writing style should be formal rather than personal, and the paper will be evaluated for clarity and detail.
Criteria for grading the TERM PAPER:
Introduce the topic, the population(s) affected and scope of the problem; Identify both historical and current critical issues related to the topic.
Discuss its impact on public health and welfare; include available current data.
Identify and discuss existing or proposed initiatives for prevention or decreasing this type of violence.
Support your statements with current peer-reviewed literature (at least 5 current references must be no more than 5 years old)
Summarize your findings clearly in the closing paragraphs of your paper
Length; 7-8 pages, excluding cover & reference pages. Use APA format.
Writing quality will impact students’ grades for all written assignments. Papers will be evaluated for clarity, logical presentation, spelling, grammar, sentence structure and APA format.
