considerations of the readings. Take notes during screenings. Questions to consider in your journal:
1. Does the film have a point of
view? What is it?
2. How does the film express its point of view?
3. Is the film exploring and/or advocating a political ideology? What is
it?

or culture.
b. A set of doctrines or beliefs that form the basis of a political, economic, or other system.
4. How is the audience ‘encouraged’ into agreeing with the film’s point of view?
Comment on: Plot development.
Character development.
Symbolism/imagery. Dialogue.Other (music, context, mise-en-scene, costumes, etc.)
5. Is the critique presented relevant today? How?
