DOC IS ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTION, THIS TEXT IS ADDED TOO
the assignment page. You will answer some questions about a Tectonic location marked on a map, as well as some questions on its Mass Wasting risk. This shouldn’t be more than 2 pages. You must NOT re-write the questions when you answer them.
Secondly, you will submit your document, in a Word file only, directly onto TURNITIN below (only here in Canvas). Do not email me your paper or submit elsewhere, as it must go through the plagiarism tool. Do not submit as an html, pages, or webarchive file (Note: if you have a Mac with Pages, you must turn the Page file into a PDF or a GoogleDoc).
Number 2 is the only question that you should develop fully (in paragraph format) – it’s the majority of the 50 points total, as stated in the directions. Please check your notes and write down everything you know about that type of tectonic boundary, once you identify it (particular events not needed).
The much shorter Mass Wasting part is based on the many types of mass wasting that I covered in lecture. [So, there were 1 rockfall, 2 types slides, 4 types flows, and coastal erosion/collapse — identify any one of these in each picture.]
This assignment must be numbered-answer format. No other format is accepted. You may answer in bullet form, with all your answers in order and numbered. No2 is many paragraphs. The report is about the boundary circled.
Questions: If you have questions about these instructions, please put them in Discussions, so that other students can see my answers. Please check it to see if your questions have been answered.
Receipt: After you click Submit, you will get a confirmation by Turnitin and the original Turnitin digital receipt with a Paper ID, sent directly to your email address. You must retain this receipt as proof of your timely submission (in case there are, rarely, problems). If you submit on time, there will be no problems. (If you claim you submitted your paper, but I cannot see it in Canvas, then you must forward to me the Turnitin email with the original digital receipt.)
Re-submissions: are allowed – on the line where you see your paper link, go to the right side – right by the similarity score – and press the button right next to it (looks like a filebox); Re-upload there (before deadline).
DO NOT WAIT TILL LAST MINUTE! — I shall not take papers late, as you know, out of respect to all other students who submit on time.
ChatGPT – Use of ChatGPT (or other similar tools that generate suggested text) is not allowed in this class for any graded assignment, writing of text, or rewriting your own work.  All work submitted by you must be generated by you.
