Discussion Prompt
Journaling allows students to express thoughts and feelings regarding aspects of the clinical experience. It is not an account of tasks performed but rather a way of one-to-one communication with your instructor of your innermost feelings about your day of patient care. It is difficult for instructors to recognize all challenges or successes that a student might experience. Your journal offers the instructor a chance to give you support through feedback.
Video Journaling is becoming more and more popular because it allows you to physically see your growth as you progress through the program, your professional career and your personal life. The video element is a powerful tool in your journey to self-expression and growth.
Dabble Me (https://dabble.me) is one of many cloud-based video journaling tools available for privately hosting journal videos online. While you are not required to use Dabble Me for this course, you may wish to consider it down the road.
