This assignment requires you ato appraise a quantitative research study (see below). Using the assigned nursing research study, please discuss in your postings ALL of the following questions:
Discuss the research question and design of the study. Do you think the investigators used the correct design to answer their question/problem?
Evaluate and explain the literature review presented in the research study. Does the literature review provide a strong support of evidence about the research problem?
Discuss the purpose of an institutional review board (IRB). Was an IRB used in this study?
Describe the sample. Was probability or non-probability sampling method used to obtain the sample? How was the sample size determined?
What kind of instrument(s) was used in the study? Was the validity and reliability of the instruments described? If so, what statistical information was reported in the article?
Was the data collection procedures and storage clearly identified? Please describe what your textbook recommends.
Did the investigators use tables and figures to describe their findings? Were they easy to understand? How strong was the evidence of the research findings?
