Be sure to answer all parts of each question and clearly label each question/answer: Essay #1 (approximately 2 pages): 1a – Identify the short-coming, gap or specific need in your area of practice that you propose to address in your doctoral project. Please support with appropriate references to the evidence-based literature. Discuss two approaches to address this short-coming, gap or specific need. Specifically describe what outcomes you hope to achieve through your doctoral project. 1b – Based on your proposed doctoral project, what expertise/skills do you bring to your doctoral studies that are relevant to doing this work? Essay #2 (approximately 1 page): 2a – Create a Circle of Advisors, listing 3 individuals whom you might consult with to guide and provide feedback and recommendations for completing your doctoral project. Provide rationale for the selection of each advisor (availability of advisors does not need to be confirmed at this point). This Circle of Advisors should not be limited to the occupational therapy community and should not include Boston University occupational therapy faculty. 2b – Based on your proposed doctoral project, what expertise/skills do you anticipate that you will need from your Circle of Advisors to support your project goals? Essay #3 (approximately 1 page): What do you plan to do after you earned your OTD and how will your doctoral project help you achieve these goals? ___ Specific essay details (From me): Essay 1: I already have the essay but.. I can say that is pretty much ready with some few good citations but… I am still not satisfied & confident. I can attach those essays here. I need help on improving it, most especially on essay question number. I need more citations regarding the area of: effects of loneliness & social isolation in “occupational performance”. I talked to the professor, they prefer journal articles to solidify evidence-based practice in OT. Essay 2: Please improve details regarding my circle of advisors. Essay question 3: I think it’s very crucial part for them to see that I deserve a chance to be accepted. Please improve how it is written, I need your expertise for this part. I can further conduct other research or study that can contribute to the body of knowledge of occupational therapy practice. – Kindly explore this area. They (OT educators) always encourage us to keep doing research and please mention “evidence-based practice” (OT educators love those three words). I want them to know that I can continue doing research to promote evidence-based practice. I would be open for opportunities in the future to become a mentor or advisor for future occupational therapists. – This can tap the area of my interest in academics. In this part of the essay, they can see me as 1. Entrepreneur (opening my own facility with the use of the Kawa model from my doctorate project. 2. As a researcher (based on the experience and learning from the program. 3. As a future educator… when that opportunity arises in the future. Can I request both PDF & Word Format?
