Discuss three (3) goals that you have established for this semester that will assist you in your journey toward certification success.
Three goals that I would like to establish for this semester that will assist me in the journey towards the certification success are the following:
Develop a daily study regimen.
Maintain a spiritual and healthy body.
Ability to connect book knowledge with hands on experience.
These goals are successful with planning and executing. During my nursing school years, students developed a plan of success for patient which included planning, implementing, and executing the results. At times this was a pain staking endeavor. Plans were personally developed based on the client’s mental and physical ability. According to Goeke (2019), you will reach your goal when you perform well in planning and executing. Other suggestions from the authors were select a clutter free study zone, take notes and review them daily, and block out 1 hour daily dedicated for studying.
Maintaining a spiritual and healthy body helps are great reducing stress strategies. I enjoy going to the gym three times weekly swimming, spinning, and using different types of exercise machines. Physical activity improves cognitive processes and memory, has analgesic and antidepressant effects, and even induces a sense of wellbeing, giving strength for a sound mind in a sound body (Di Liegro et al., 2019). I believe in taking power naps which aids in clearing my mind towards the end of the day. Another method treating my temple correctly is watching what I eat and how much is consumed. It’s impossible for me to study after eating a heavy meal, so I snack on fruits, nuts or yogurt.
I found that it’s easier for me to retain book theories with practical lessons. Hopefully, I will have some clients’ presenting book-like situations. Working as a public health nurse and school nurse, I quickly observed and developed plans for several respiratory illnesses, skin issues, and sexual transmitted diseases based on classic textbook description. I excited to learn more in depth about geriatrics population.
Additional goals could be added to as I continue with this journey to be successful in obtain certification.

Introduction
Hello fellow classmates my names is Porsha Collins, I have been a nurse for 5 years and I am currently working as a Registered Nurse for Dialysis Clinic Inc. in California. Working as a dialysis nurse has its up and downs, but I enjoy every bit of dialysis. You have that opportunity to help a patient see the diagnosis in a different way, so they can accept what it is and be apart of their care. However, you do see noncompliance among mid-20 to mid-30 year old patient don’t really see the seriousness of their condition, and the importance of dialysis and they don’t make it. Thou, there are patients in that age population that just need motivation and compassion, and reassurance that you want the best for them. This is the part of nursing that inspired me to become a nurse is to make a real difference in someone’s life, and help them identify the problems that hinder health and wellness, and design a real plan that they are comfortable with achieving.
As a future FNP, I plan on working for underserved communities, because I believe the start to change is bring change within the public. I always believed that to get sick people healthy is to promote health before the sickness. Keeping people out of the hospital is how I plan on using my skills and education, and I thank God always for NP to have the skills, capabilities, and compassion to be great providers (AANP, 2020).
