therapies (CAM) in the delivery of health care.

GUIDELINES FOR ECONOMICS TOPIC
1. Following the assignment of your topic you will be expected to research the topic using several
sources of data. This will NOT be a formal paper. The topic will be presented using a
PowerPoint. You may be imaginative in how you set it up.
2. Even though this is not a formal paper a list of resources will be included that does require
APA format using the 6th edition on your last slide.
3. Some topics will be more controversial than others. Discussion of your topic should clearly
explain the concept that is your topic as well as advantages/disadvantages, pros/cons and
other related data. Statistics and financial costs must be included. Your topic must be
covered in depth. Think about cost related to hospital, home care, rehab, job loss, supplies,
meds, etc., depending on your topic.
4. The topic presentation will occur on Zoom week 12, at the date and time noted on your
clinical schedule.
5. A student who does not receive a satisfactory grade will be given another topic to be
researched and submitted by a date to be determined. Failure to do so will result in an
incomplete grade for the course.
6. Presentations typically last 15-20 minutes each with a question and answer session after the
content is presented.
GRADING CRITERIA
To be graded as satisfactory:
A. Student will use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
B. Clarity will be a focus so the content can be interpreted without confusion.
C. Data should be used consistently for support and references used for the data should be
noted.
D. Opposing points of view should be discussed where appropriate.
E. Statistical data and financial data included.
