Explanation of this assignment: We are in a group of 4 and each is responsible for one area of design for the play Macbeth. (Like we need to recreate a play by writing it our based on our design for it). I am responsible for lighting design. And the concept sheet I will provide in the files indicates what kind of theme we want to do for the play (Mafia style, dark, gloomy tone of light). You can pick some scenes from Macbeth and write your ideas of lighting design for them since it’s hard to write for the whole play. Please write the lighting design! Lighting doesn’t have to be only in black and white.
Here is instruction for this assignment:
Write a thousand word minimum essay that outlines your approach to developing a concept for the design area for your play. Isolate important themes and character development ideas will enhance those ideas. Discuss the final look you want to create for your area of design, and what you want the audience to take away. This must be validated by your concept sheet (I will provide in the file).
