For this assignment, you will examine connections between the themes of a book, course readings, outside sources, and your own experiences (developed through the reading responses, when relevant). Your goal is to analyze the book from an intercultural communication perspective, that is, apply the course concepts to the book, using the book as your data source.In your paper, you will•pick 1-3 course themes that relate to the book and summarize the book’s position;• discuss the theme(s) you picked in relation to at least two course readings; •discuss the book’s theme(s) in relation to at least two outside sources; AND•discuss the book’s theme(s) in relation to one or more of the reading responses you will have completed in this course, taking into account the grader’s comments when relevant. !NOTE: If you cannot make a good connection to the reading responses, you may choose to have an additional outside source instead.➢“A theme” can be anything we have discussed in the course. You would probably want to choose a theme that was part of a course reading and something we discussed in class (more or less extensively) rather than a topic that was mentioned just once in lecture. The theme doesn’t have to be covered in great detail in your book –as long as it comes up periodically. As you read the book, you’d want to mark the relevant places.
