Discuss how Institutional Racism, inequity, and racial injustice today in the United States are tied to our past. Give some examples both past and present to support your answer. Include as one of your examples how nativism played a role. Understanding these definitions will help you with your response, but you do not need to define them (inequity, nativism etc.) here. These definitions impact many living in the United States today, so use multiple examples. Look to the chapters over slavery, immigration and women in the textbook to help support your response.
