Introduction
The final paper is a research-oriented paper. The purpose of this paper is to discuss Cyber (Law,
Policies, Crimes, Privacy, etc.) in relations to contemporary trends. For example, how does the
(cyber or non-cyber) law impact self-driving vehicles.
Potential Topics
Self-Driving Vehicles & Legal Challenges, Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Healthcare (or other
sector such as Education, Military, etc.), Industry 4.0, Crypto Currency, Drones, Brain Chips,
Net Neutrality, GDPR, Spectrum Management Policy, Spectrum Auctions, Internet Governance,
National Security vs. Individual Privacy, Government-Owned Broadband Networks, Rural
Broadband and the Universal Service Fund, Public Broadcasting, Content Filters for Minors, the
Internet and the First Amendment… OR a mutually agreed upon topic between the groups and
the Instructor.
Paper Structure
1. Length:
a. Paper: 10-13 pages (12-point font Time New Roman, Calibri 12, double spaced)
b. The page count doesn’t include the title page, executive summary, references, or
appendices.
c. The page count will be strictly enforced.
2. Executive summary:
a. brief but effective/comprehensive of work.
b. It should be on a page by itself
3. Sources: Minimum 10
4. Format: APA
5. Required Elements and Sequence:
a. Title Page (Course, Topic, Group Members, Date)
i. The title page should also state whether the project can or cannot be
shared as a sample with other students. Sharing or not sharing the project
will not impact your score. You can simply put a statement such as “This
project can (or cannot) be share as a sample.”
b. Executive Summary
i. This should be on a page(s) by itself. It should not start on the title page.
ii. It should succinctly summarize the entire paper.
iii. It should be 1-1.5 pages long.
c. Introduction
i. The “Introduction” should start on a new page. It should not start on the
same page as the executive summary.

ii. The introduction should provide an overview of the topic and rationale for
pursing the current topic. It should also clearly state the purpose/objective
of the paper.
iii. It should also list what intend to focus on in the paper; e.g.,
1. This paper will focus on the ethical implications of AI on the roles
of healthcare workers, industrial workers, and law enforcement
officers.
2. This paper will focus on the legal, ethical, and business
implications of AI on the healthcare industry.
iv. It should be about 1.5 pages long. Everything following the introduction
should start consecutively on the same page unless note otherwise.

Clarifications
• Please make sure you have clear headings for the different sections.
• Items 5e through 5i may have some overlap.
• For items 5e-5i, you may end up rearranging some sections as you deem appropriate. For
example, after discussing the historical background (5d) of the topic, you may discuss the
current status and impact (5g).
Presentation
You will also be required to present your paper. The presentation should be 7-10 minutes long.
The modality of the presentation (live vs. pre-recorded) will be decided at a later point.
