1. Using Chapter 9 in American Government, by Krutz, in the textbook in the Course Textbook module, write a SHORT (perhaps 1-1/2 to 2 MLA STYLE PAGES) review of the chapter. What did you learn from reading it? What are some of the most important topics covered? DUE: JUNE 26, 2024
2. Read Article I; Section 8, of the Constitution, which lists eighteen powers that Congress has. Select the TWO powers that Congress has that YOU THINK ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT ONES AND EXPLAIN WHY YOU HOLD YOUR POSITION.
This is an OPINION question based on Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution. See the Appendix Section (back) of the Krutz textbook or the web link to the Constitution.
3. Using the notes called POST-1763 CLASS NOTES, select TWO laws that Parliament passed that YOU THINK must have been most angering to the colonists. Explain why you hold your position. If you “quote from the notes use my last name and the page number” (Clock 2). Refer: Class Notes pdf too
4. Read ahead in the Krutz textbook, and write a review of Chapter 13, “The Courts.” What are the main points YOU LEARNED from reading the chapter on your own? Use at LEAST ONE MLA STYLE “QUOTATION FROM THE KRUTZ TEXTBOOK” (Krutz 126).
5. What is ONE CURRENT EVENTS ISSUE FACING THE UNITED STATES TODAY? YOU choose the issue, and tell why it is important. You can get your information from any news source that you want, but your essay must explain the issue, why you chose it, and why you think it is important to our nation today. THIS IS AN OPINION QUESTION, SO PLEASE CHOOSE THE CURRENT EVENTS ISSUE YOURSELF.
