Primary Task Response: Within the Discussion Board area, write 400 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas, and comments. This will be the foundation for future discussions by your classmates. Be substantive and clear, and use examples to reinforce your ideas.
Big Data analysts are faced with the challenge of managing the variety of data types, large volume, and speed at which it is generated. To meet business requirements addressing these needs, various Big Data Architectures have emerged using various SQL-based and No-SQL-based technologies for both persistent and streaming data.
Based on this week’s reading and information found on the Internet, compare and contrast at least 3 big data management tools that you find most effective in analyzing big data. For example, Graph, Key-Value, Document, and Columnar Databases are common types of No-SQL database management technologies. Additionally, complementary technologies to ingest and transform are often required. As you survey the available technologies, ingest, data manipulation, and storage should be considered.
Your discussion should include the advantages and disadvantages that you find with each application.
Include a cost comparison of utilization of this software, if utilized as a Cloud Service or installed/configured/maintained on-premise within your organization.
