In this assignment, you will conduct a “mini” digital ethnography using social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok to explore women’s engagement in nationalist movements, focusing on the Tal’at movement that emerged following the brutal beating of Israa Ghrayeb on 8 August 2019. This movement marked the resurgence of women’s protests in Palestine and the start of a new feminist and anticolonial movement. Your task is to analyze how the Tal’at movement and similar women’s nationalist movements are represented and engaged with on social media platforms.

Methodology
Identify Hashtags and Influencers: Begin by identifying relevant hashtags such as #TalatMovement, #IsraaGhrayeb, #PalestinianWomen, #FeministProtests, etc. Identify key influencers and accounts that frequently post about the Tal’at movement and related topics.
Data Collection: Collect a sample of social media videos, comments, and interactions related to the Tal’at movement and women’s nationalist movements. Aim for a diverse range of content, including different types of videos (e.g., personal stories, protest footage, commentary).
Frame Analysis: Conduct a frame analysis on the collected content. Examine how the Tal’at movement is framed by different users. Look for recurring themes, narratives, and symbols. Pay attention to how these frames align with or differ from previous Palestinian women’s movements.
