Teaching and Evaluation Plan
Instructions:
For the Teaching and Evaluation Plan, accomplish the following:
Step #1: (2 pages) Create an adult education scenario that will require three, two-hour sessions. Specific guidance:
– It is recommended that the situation you create be something about which you are very familiar, perhaps from work or some sort of hobby/interest.
– Describe what will be taught, the objectives of the course, and how students will be evaluated.
– Describe the class itself. Include such things as where it will be taught, who will attend (provide demographics), when it will be taught, what the classroom looks like, and what resources will be available.
– The paper will use strict APA formatting and should be fairly thorough; however, it should not exceed two pages.
Step #2 (6 pages) Create a “Lesson Plan.” Specific guidance:
– Provide details that completely describe how the course will be taught, hour-by-hour. Be sure every course objective is addressed and needed resources are itemized.
– Ensure that your plan includes at least three different teaching strategies. Explain each strategy, why it was selected, and describe problems that could occur with the selected strategies.
– The Lesson Plan should be sufficiently detailed; detailed enough so that a novice can read and understand what will be taught, how it will be taught, and why these methods were chosen. However, it should not exceed six pages.
Step #3: (2 pages) Create an “Evaluation Plan.” Specific guidance:
– Develop a plan to evaluate the effectiveness of your teaching strategies. Our week 6 readings describe numerous areas that can be evaluated.( I will provide in the upload section week 6 is chapter 6)
– Choose at least three evaluation tools. Ensure that you provide some sort of assessment of learning accomplished, teaching effectiveness, and content delivery. Again, see our week 6 readings..
– The paper will use strict APA formatting and should not exceed two pages of narrative. Any attachments (checklists, evaluation forms, etc.) are NOT considered part of the narrative.
