At the end of this project, students will be able to identify treatment programs in their community; program funding and evaluation methods used for determining success of the program (s). Using APA reference style, students will write a 5-6 page (double-spaced) paper. A separate Reference page is not included in this page limit.
You will research community and public health treatment programs in the community. For the purposes of this paper, the student will review a total of four programs by selecting two different programs from within one community, and then compare these two programs to two similar programs set within a different community.

Students will describe the treatment initiative in one setting, and compare it to another setting, describing how the shared and differing strategies around the common issue. Students will do this for two separate treatment interventions providing a total of four program descriptions.
In describing each treatment intervention, you will need to identify the following:
a) Agency(ies) sponsoring the initiative and their location
b) How the community program is funded and the source(s) of funding
c) What the treatment intervention is attempting to address and for which population
d) How these types of programs are evaluated, and what standards or fidelity measurement might exist to inform the operations of these programs
e) What the strengths and weaknesses are of each program (i.e. funding, operations, program design, setting, health equity, skill sets of personnel, etc.).
