Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word Policy Alternative Comparative Analysis designed to persuade your government board on what to do to change the policy you analyzed and how these changes can be best communicated throughout your community.
Begin your analysis with an executive summary (350–500 words) that synthesizes the information you developed for your policy analysis presentation from Week 4:
Describe the local government and community of SAN FRANCISCO, CA and provide a brief descriiption of the policy and the problem it addresses. Clearly identify and state the problem.
Describe the various stakeholders and target populations involved in and affected by the problem that you will involve in the policy analysis process.
Identify and explain what factors relative to the problem might influence the analysis process.
Discuss the following: where the problem exists, how it developed, major cause, and any other significant information about the problem that should be considered in your analysis.
Use this summary to remind the reader what you are analyzing and why.
Logic Model
Then create a logic model that represents your policy alternatives and evaluation criteria for a comparative analysis to choose the best viable alternative for the defined problem.
Solution
Follow the logic model with an explanation of how to read the model and provide a solution to the policy problem by identifying the best alternative to be implemented into the policy. Explain how this alternative is the best choice using the criteria of Effective, Efficient, Equity, Political, and Political Feasibility.
Explain how the new changes can be implemented and what communication practices would best convey these changes to your community.
