Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to develop a plan for lifelong learning in your role as nurse educator. When considering your plan, please select the focus of your chosen specialty as a nurse educator in the academic, community, or staff development setting.
Directions
You will need to write a 3-page paper (not including title and reference pages) that includes developing a plan for lifelong learning in your professional role as a nurse educator. This plan should describe your goals for the next year and how you will stay current and grow professionally within your role as a nurse educator. Please include one short-term SMART goal that you hope to complete by the end of the first year. Then, develop a 5-year plan to stay current and grow professionally within your role as a nurse educator, and include two long-term SMART goals to be completed by the end of Year Five. Next, develop a 10-year plan to stay current and grow professionally within your role as a nurse educator, and include two long-term SMART goals that would be completed by Year 10. Each goal must include a detailed plan of implementation and how you will accomplish the goal as well an evaluation plan for each of your goals. Finally, describe the importance of scholarship and service as a nurse educator.

Please include a minimum of four peer-reviewed scholarly sources. All papers should have an introduction as well as a conclusion.
