I’m working on a civil engineering project and need support to help me learn.Problem Statement:
Within the scope of the project, you are expected to work on the flow in a pipe to reinforce the topics
covered in the course. The material to be used for analysis in the article is air. Along with the topics
covered in the lessons, it will be experienced how manual calculations are transferred to the virtual
environment and calculated with the software program to be used. In the work to be done, two different
types of flow will be studied.
The first of the two flow types is what we know as laminar flow and is
suitable for a manual calculation. The other type of flow is the type of flow that we know as turbulent
flow, which we have limited ability to work on except for software programs. After completing the
manual calculations within the scope of the project, you are expected to evaluate the results by completing
the work with the software program. While evaluating the results, it is expected to be supported by
graphics and tables.
The report to be created within the scope of the project may include;
· Detailed explanation about analytical solution of case and solution steps.
· Creating the geometry to be used in the case
· Creating and interpreting the mesh design required for analysis
· Arranging setup settings in accordance with cases and explaining the difference between cases
· Visualizing the data obtained as a result of the calculations and adding them to the report and their
interpretation
· To show the results clearly in manual calculations and analyses to be made on the program and to
make comments about the differences that may arise.
Grading:
· Calculations
· Analytical solution
· Numerical solution
· Mesh design
· Results
· Comparison of analytical and numerical solutions
· Comparison of Laminar and Turbulent Flow
· Final Report
