For your final exam project, you are starting your own business and should decide on what type of service-based business. It’s your choice.
The documents you will need to create to advertise and support your business are:
Infographic/flyer/brochure to advertise your business (single page infographic or flyer or folded brochure). Remember there are templates available to start you on your creative endeavor.
Business cards (use a template to create one sheet) Use your name on the business card. You can be the CEO, President, Owner, etc of your company.
Introductory letter (main mail merge document) You want to get the info out on your company. Perhaps you can offer a sale, discount or even a coupon.
Customer list (for mail merge data) This should consist of at least 10 potential customers and can be actual or fictional names and addresses.
Merged letters (from above two items) Merge your main document with your list to create individualized letters or each customer. You will end up with one document with at least 10 letters within the document.
Online form (order or invoice are two options) Create a form that relates to your company and your customers would use either ordering items or an invoice for them to pay for your services. Be sure to save this form as a template. Then test it with data (fill in the form with your own information) and save it as a word document.
Once you have all your documents created, you need to submit them to the Final Exam/Project dropbox in D2L. You can either submit them individually or compress all the items within one folder and upload the compressed/zipped folder. It’s your choice, however please be sure to have them all included. The deadline for turning in your files is August 9th by the end of day. Grades will be posted on August 12th.
