One A: look at the case provided – the Centralization of HR Project at WorkSafe, Inc. [My Professor > Instructor Insights]
What is the project? To move a few HR positions from their current embedded locations to the WorkSafe, Inc. HQ HR Dept. in Kansas City.
What are some project tasks which will be needed to accomplish this move? Make a short list of some sample project tasks for this move. This is a type of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
One B: Read the articles provided in the Instructions about formal methods of estimating costs. What are they? Discuss them and decide which method of estimating the cost of project tasks best fits the Centralization of HR Project tasks. [Do not create a budget yet, just decide which cost estimate method to use and why.]

Download to your PC the MS Excel template provided in the instructions. Play around with it – see how it works. You need MS Excel on your PC to do this…
Edit the template to reflect the Centralization of HR Project at WorkSafe, Inc. and at least three tasks from your list of tasks (the WBS) for the CHRP @ WSI. Fill in the appropriate cells with imaginary, but reasonable numbers and observe how the template works.
Follow the instructions in the article on how to copy an Excel chart into a word document, and paste your edited copy of the template into your assignment as page 2. Play with the icon when you paste to get the appropriate size.
