Consider a client who meets the criteria for PTSD. Research a local support group to find resources located in your town.
After viewing available options, discuss gaps in the resources offered (e.g., location, time, modality, access to transportation, topics).
Because of social workers’ ethical responsibilities towards social welfare, public participation, public emergencies, and social and political action, create a trifold brochure or one-page newsletter that advertises a new group addressing the gaps to better meet the needs of the community.
Include the following:
Explain the delivery chosen (online, in person, or hybrid) and rationale
Explain how the group could target and assess cultural competency/cultural humility
Identify evidence- and strengths-based practices that could be used for the group
Identify multidisciplinary resources
Describe ethical standards of practice maintained
