Create a list of ten (10) SCHOLARLY sources on performance and your performance-

April 12, 2024

Create a list of ten (10) SCHOLARLY sources on performance and your performance-related,
research topic, specifically. The bibliography will serve as a guide for you and other users.
Using texts written by notable scholars and writers who influence your thinking about performance and your specific treatment of a performance topic, annotate and rhetorically
situate the sources that led to your research question and may be cited in your paper. Additionally, include sources that you reviewed and found relevant, but may not be cited in your
paper. Indicate their importance to the subject of performance and relevance to discourse
on your performance topic.
You are submitting the annotated bibliography to a committee of scholars. The submission will clarify how you reviewed the sources (background, exhibit, argument, or method/theory)and their concepts and if you intend to use them to develop an argument to support your claim about a relevant performance topIc. The bibliography will inform the committee of the
research you undertook for your 7-10-page essay as it has been introduced by and
discussed in assigned readings and additional credible sources described below.
Additionally, the bibliography will serve as a guide for other novices who are writing about comparable performance-related topics.
Detailed Instructions:
Entries MUST be in alphabetical order and formatted to MLA guidelines. The bibliography MUST have a topic-specific title and introduction. Again—MLA guidelines MUST be followed. DO NOT use auto-citations. Each entry needs an annotation.
Specifically:
·      The bibliography must contain at least ten (10) credible sources. You must situate the source rhetorically so that each entry has:
·      A summary evaluation of its general themes, claims, and arguments and/or
·      A source specific evaluation related to the topic of the research paper.
·      What must be included as sources:
§  The bibliography must have the entries of three sources assigned in class: Hambrick, Harding, Kumari, Doré and Pugsley, Steinberger, McConachie, and/or Lysaght,
§  The bibliography must have four (4) additional scholarly, print sources.
§  The bibliography must have three (3) additional credible sources (scholarly or popular, digital or print).
The only websites allowed are those published by government and universities, libraries, archives and collections, and widely recognized associations that sanction performance—usually non-profits or .org (i.e. §  The American Theatre Wing, the American Guild of Musical Artists, Westminster Kennel Club, American Medical Association).
Individual blogs, vlogs, and websites are not allowed
·      Every aspect of the bibliography (margins, headers, titling, page numbering, spacing, entries, summaries—everything) must be formatted according to MLA guidelines. No exceptions or oversights will be graded as passing.
·      A bibliography with program-generated annotations and no evaluations may not be
graded as passing.
·      Use complete sentences and evaluate the source in light of its overarching claim or purpose, its relationship to your research and to the performance topic, and its usefulness to you and potential readers of the bibliography.
NOTE—original research like interviews, surveys, polls, data collection, and experiments are not part of this assignment and MUST be approved in advanced including but not limited to a description of protocols, questions, sample size, motives, tests, and release forms where human subjects are involved
