Contracting and Negotiation Final Assessment: Outline and Rubric Purpose of this Assessment This assessment will provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate a deeper understanding of the competency concepts, and practices by creating a contract and negation strategy presentation. Each student will prepare a presentation on a specific contracting situation and apply tactics of negotiation. Students will define the issue or problem to be negotiated, identify the interests leading the need to negotiate, prepare proposals, identify potential leverage and negotiation strategies that will influence bargaining, and identify effective negotiation techniques. For this Final Assessment, you will create a presentation of a Workplace Contract Negotiation strategy. This will be your opportunity to demonstrate and apply your learning of the specific behaviors that define effective contracting and negation best practices. Items Required for Submission 1. Create a 12-15 slide Workplace Contract Negotiation Presentation Step ONE: Choose Your Format Choose your presentation platform (Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Prezi). See the Resources section below for ideas and information that will help you figure out which platform works best for you. As you consider the format, review your Milestones, Learning Journals, and Discussion Board entries, and your ability to highlight those thoughts in your Workplace Contract Negotiation Presentation. Step TWO: Complete a Presentation Outline It is recommended that you create an outline of the major sections of your presentation. Here is a list of the major components of your presentation:Contracting and Negotiation Final Assessment: Outline and Rubric 1. Slide One: Introduction 2. Slide Two-Three: Define the contract problem or issue to be negotiated. a. History and background of the issue. 3. Slide Four-Six: Proposal of workplace contract modification a. Motivation- underlying needs and interests 4. Slide Seven- Fourteen: Negotiation Strategies 5. Slide Fifteen: Conclusion Step THREE: Complete Workplace Contract Negotiation Presentation Begin building your presentation by following the outline above. In each of the sections, be sure to include information, concepts, theories, and practices directly from the competency and highlight the major and essential features of contracting and negotiating in the workplace. You are welcome to include graphics and illustrations. Step FOUR: Complete Checklist for Submission Before you submit your work, check to see if you have met the criteria noted below.
