Identify a concept from your “Weak Performance Areas” from your HESI dashboard. The selected concept* will be the focus of your assignment. Client Selection a. View the parameters before choosing a client scenario. i. Step One: Choosing a Case 1. Select a client case that aligns with your chosen concept. 2. You can use a current patient, a past encounter, or a simulated experience if needed. ii. Step Two: Concept Focus 1. Develop your concept map around your chosen concept, even if it’s not the client’s primary concern. 2. For instance, if your concept is ‘Infection’, focus on cues and interventions related to ‘infection’ while considering the client’s other conditions. iii. Step Three: Multiple Co-morbidities 1. Understand that your patient may have multiple co-existing conditions. 2. Use the ‘Concepts for Nursing Practice eBook’ to explore related concepts while focusing primarily on your chosen concept for the concept map. 3. Building the Concept Map a.
