Host Organizations. In section, 3.3, you explored professional social worker’s value conflicts in organizations and identified host organizations that provide community resources. For this assignment, complete the following Part I, Part II and Part III:
Part I: Values Conflict Considerations. To complete this discussion,
Choose one special population discussed in Frankel & Gelman’s chapter 9 (people with developmental disabilities, chronic health issues, addictions, etc.).
Next, create a short case scenario (about 1-2 paragraphs) describing your work in a host organization that services this client type. Include in your case scenario a situation where a professional social worker’s ethics might conflict with the organization’s practices. (For an example of a scenario, see Box 1.2 in the Gibelman and Furman reading, ch 1, p. 10).
Conclude your scenario with an explanation of how you might resolve this value conflict.
Part II. Community Resources.
To complete this discussion, research the internet, or other available sources (books, journals, etc.) for each of the types of organizations mentioned below:
Identify the type of organization (ie.one (1) local organization for each of the following types of institutions public, private etc.)
