Compilation of Methodological Designs
n this assignment, you will discuss how your topic within your specialization could be studied using an experimental, quasi-experimental, and nonexperimental approach. You will design three studies using each of the three major research methods we have learned about in this course. The objectives will be to:
- Describe several methods that can be used to gather data for each methodology.
- Develop a plan for gathering data related to your topic and provide a rationale for gathering data in this manner.
- Support the ideas that are communicated with the appropriate academic sources.
The assignment should be formatted as follows:
- Section 1: Discuss your topic of research.
- Section 2: Identify an experimental method, as well as the research question that aligns with that method. Then, present a 2–3-paragraph rationale that describes the purpose of the research. Finally, describe how data would be gathered and analyzed using this method.
- Section 3: Identify a quasi-experimental method, as well as the research question that aligns with that method. Then, present a 2–3-paragraph rationale that describes the purpose of the research. Finally, describe how data would be gathered using this method.
- Section 4: Identify a nonexperimental method, as well as the research question that aligns with that method. Then, present a 2–3-paragraph rationale that describes the purpose of the research. Finally, describe how data would be gathered.
- Section 5: An APA-formatted reference page. (The content of your assignment should be supported with appropriate academic sources and include both citations and references in APA format.)
