Class: Dental Hygiene Preclinical
Problem:
Today in the dental lab, I made a mistake of not wearing utility gloves when delivering my dental instruments to the sterilization room, which resulted in a critical fail. This was a violation of the OSHA regulations, which mandates the use of heavy duty utility gloves when handling contaminated instruments.
Utility gloves: reusable, heavy-duty, chemical- and puncture-resistant gloves for cleaning, sterilizing, and disinfecting treatment rooms and equipment. These are also helpful when handling contaminated instruments.

Six-Step Problem Solving Method:
Define the problem (-> I explained the problem above)
Gather relevant information (facts, values, assumptions).
Identify the issues (ethical, legal, social).
Identify and evaluate the alternatives that address the problem.
Describe how you will implement your new choice(s).
Evaluate the potential outcome(s) of your new choice(s) and the plan
to achieve the desired end.
The plan should be typed and no more than one page in length,
APA 7th citation format.
