Choose one of the assigned plays to analyze critically. Your essay should contain a clear introductory paragraph with a thesis statement, at least three body paragraphs, and a clear concluding paragraph. Formulate a debatable thesis that clearly states your argument of which literary elements the author used and why you think the author used them. In the body paragraphs, focus on one or more literary elements to support your argument stated in your thesis. Be sure to use quotes from the play in your essay to support your thesis. You are required to find at least one credible secondary source that also supports your thesis. This might be a review by a literary critic, an interview with the author, an analysis in a peer-reviewed journal, or another outside source that can be used as evidence. In the conclusion, restate your thesis, summarize your main points, and provide readers with a final thought about this analysis. Remember to create a Works Cited Page as the last page of your document. Make sure to properly document the play and the secondary source both in the text and on the Works Cited page.
