Character Blog Post – Intro to Lit Final Project
Directions: You will be writing a blog post from a character’s perspective. You may choose any one of the characters from any of the short stories, poems, or play you’ve read this semester.
Since it’s coming from a character’s point of view, you will have to make sure it’s fitting to the time period. For example, if you are writing a blog post from Emily Grierson’s(“A Rose for Emily”) POV, you would make sure your blog and/or topic reflects something from the early 1900s. If your blog is written from Georgianna’s(“The Birthmark”) POV, then it would be the late 1700s.
Other than the topics/themes/issues within the text, you could choose something completely different, but you will have to do some research to figure out what was interesting during that time period and something with which your character can relate. If you choose to do any outside research, you are required to include a Works Cited following the end of your blog post.
This assignment only includes the written text of the blog post you create and any visuals used to enhance your character’s message/idea/topic/issue. You are not required to post the blog anywhere in the public domain. A Word document or Google Docs will be perfectly adequate for your submission to Canvas.
Your blog must be a minimum of 500 words. There’s a link below to give you come background information on how to write a blog. I have also included some information with a few tips on what to add. Please do your own research as well. Read a few blogs to get a better idea.
*Do not use Chat GPT or any other AI chatbots to generate your blog. This will be considered plagiarism and will result in a failing grade.

– Summarize the main points.
– End with a call to action or an open-ended question.
