Capstone Review Panel Presentation
Plan, Prepare, Present
Consult the Capstone Case Study Project Grading Criteria for guidance.
In Module 12 you will present your Capstone Case Study Project to the Capstone Review Panel. Your Final Capstone Case Study Project Report will be forwarded to the Capstone Review Panel prior to your presentation. The Capstone Review Panel usually consists of three faculty members.
You will be notified of your assigned date and time of your presentation. Please review the following to make sure you have no issues on the day/time you are presenting.
You will have a maximum of 20 minutes for your presentation, followed by a 5-10 minute question and answer period. Questions range from varying perspectives, but the most common relate to:
Questions on who and where you presented to government boards
Questions on your survey methods, results, etc.
If you opt to show video clips during your presentation, these must be included in your 20 minute time frame. You may want to practice presenting to a friend or family member to get much-needed feedback.
Professional business attire is required for your presentation.
The Capstone Review Panel expects an organized presentation that takes them through all the pertinent facts relating to your Capstone Case Study Project. The flow of your presentation is up to you. It is recommended that you mention your survey and advise the Capstone Review Panel where you presented to an outside entity during the completion of your Capstone Case Study Project.
Remember that your Capstone Project, like any case study, is a story, and that you must answer the – who, what, where, why, when and how – for your project to come alive and be complete. During your Capstone Review Panel Presentation, you must include the following:
The Issue – Clearly state the issue in one to two sentences. Then, provide background information (the history) on your case study and any laws pertaining to the issue.
Stakeholders – List all stakeholders who may be affected by the issue. Include all stakeholders you can think of, those mentioned and not mentioned in your case study.
Stakeholder Perspectives – List the perspectives of your stakeholders. How does each stakeholder group and/or person view the issue?
Expert Interview – Include your experts’ names and titles, the day, time, and location of your meetings in your presentation. Things to include: What did you discuss? What are your experts’ thoughts on the issue in your case study?
Three-minute presentation – If you were unable to present your comments to a outside entity/governing body, please present them during your Capstone Review Panel Presentation.
Recommendation – Based on the facts provided in your case study and your experts, state your recommendation(s) and why.
References – If you included any information that came from a source other than your yourself or your team, include your references at the end of your presentation.
You will know upon completion of your presentation if you passed course. You will be notified of your actual grade within one week.
