Introduction—This is a general discussion of your topic, and best thought of as a newspaper approach to explaining your larger research topic. You may use Internet sources and even wikipedia to provide background information and context to your project.
Literature Review—( your annotated bibliography is the first step in writing this section) –this is based on previous research studies. So unlike the Introduction which represents the common knowledge about your topic, this section is your overview of the previous research studies. Once you have summarized ten articles, then you can figure out how to put those together and organized for this section. Remember you should not just list each article but you want to try to put them together. This is where looking at other articles to see how they write their literature review section is helpful. In class, on two different times, I have shown an article and gone through the literature review section.
Methods–( your research proposal due next week is the first step in writing this section) . this is an exact description of the way you will conduct your research. The information needed for this section is described in the research proposal outline in Course Materials.
Findings–this section will be where you present your findings from your research. This will be an analysis of your data, which will either come from interviews you conducted, or content analysis of media ( shows, movies, Youtube etc)
