The Project Scoping component requires you to go into more detail on what you wrote about adopting this technology.
When writing this section consider the following:
How will the company adopt the technology?
1. Can the technology be adopted as is?
OR
2. Does the company need to be make changes to be able to adopt the technology?
What changes does the company need to make to adopt this technology and why?
1. Are any upgrades required?
I. If yes – what are the upgrades and why?
II. If no – why?
2. Does the company need to make any changes to its existing IT infrastructure?
I. If yes – what changes are required and why?
II. If no – why not?
3. Is any integration required?
I. If yes, what is the integration needed?
II. If no – why not?
A significant part of Scope is business change. Since it is a very important part of scope, in this section you should:
1. Identify what business processes have the potential to be impacted:
I. Identify the scope – which of the business processes within your chosen company are likely to be impacted as a result of adopting you selected technology?
For example – Production, Marketing, Sales, HR etc.
