Business Plan
Your team will select a country- Neatherlands, and then develop a written business plan for expanding into that country, building upon the state of your business at the end of the simulation (e.g., financial condition, current products). The paper that includes your business plan is The project managers of each team should submit in Canvas Assignment: MB’s Business Plan Team Assignment.Executive Summary (Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How); one page, single-spaced.
1. Business Plan: 5 pages, double-spaced, 12-point font, standard margins, must be saved as a Word document (Google Docs, links to OneDrive are not acceptable).
a. Introduction
i. Describe the current state of your business and an overview of your plan to enter the new market, including your overall strategy (i.e., price & volume).
ii. Describe the product(s) that you plan to sell in the new market.
iii. Explain the environmental and operational challenges (e.g., labor, manufacturing, information technology, legal, and political) and the plans you have for overcoming those challenges.
b. Marketing Strategy
i. Outline the marketing strategy, focusing on the target segment(s), your competition, and the marketing-mix actions you will take to attract and retain the segment(s).
c. Financing Strategy
i. Outline the needed financing to establish the business in the country.
ii. Use the financial evidence from your simulation to support what financing your team would need, and how best to acquire it.
d. Conclusion
2. Appendices (do not count towards your 5-pages)
a. “Resumes of Principals” – create LinkedIn profiles for each team member. Provide the links to each profile with each team member’s name on a table. Each profile should include the following, at a minimum:
i. Professional-looking photo
ii. Name, Headline, Current Position, Education, Country, Zip code, Location, Industry (of interest)
iii. Experience and Education
iv. Identify 5-6 of your Featured Skills
b. Reflect on your Mike’s Bikes simulation and business-plan preparation experience. (Reflection is not part of your 5 pages)
i. In two or three thoughtful paragraphs, describe the MOST important things your team learned from the experience. Support your team’s response with evidence.
ii. Screenshot (Screenshot is not part of your 5 pages) of the final year of Shareholder value (Industry Benchmark) from your simulation.
