Select an incident/situation from any of your clinical experiences where you felt unprepared or especially challenged. For example, you might have observed a practice that you believed compromised safety, you might have been involved in a clinical procedure for which you felt underprepared or unsure of your role. The situation might be about an interaction with a staff member. The incident/situation you review does not need to be a critical incident/emergency situation. It should be a situation that is meaningful to you – one that you recall well, and one that you have critically reflected upon. Briefly describe the incident/situation and the context in which it occurred. Use a theory or model to structure your critical reflection, and identify the approach selected.
