You may want to provide professional nursing examples (case studies) to demonstrate this relationship. Use correct ethics terminology while discussing your position statement and ethical dilemma.
Legislative influence – describe how your selected position statement could be affected by the legislative process. What can nurses do to influence change at the state and federal legislative levels? Has the ANA lobbied for legislation to support your selected position statement? If yes, describe what was done, and if not, describe what could be done.
Conclusion – describe why your selected position statement is important to ethical practice within the nursing profession. Consider what steps should be taken to ensure this policy continues to support ethical nursing practice.
