rationale for your diagnostic impressions. The paper must be two to three pages long Utilizing the DSM-5. Please discuss the following in
detail:
1. Probable diagnosis: This should be based on the information gathered during your mock assessment. Be sure to include specific
details given by your client and provide support for your diagnosis by citing diagnostic criteria from the DSM-5. You may also cite
information from your Morrison (2014) textbook and any other relevant academic sources.
2. Probable etiology: What genetic, biological, psychological, environmental, or social factors likely contributed to the development of
this disorder in your individual client? For example, a client might have a family history of alcohol or substance abuse and therefore
a possible genetic predisposition (biological factors). They might also report experiencing sadness or depressed feelings due to
loneliness and perhaps frequent job loss due to their substance abuse (psychological factors). Perhaps they reported engaging in a
lifestyle that involves frequent substance use with friends (social factors).
3. Psychosocial treatment: What psychosocial treatment options or interventions would you consider for your client? Consult and cite
at least two peer-reviewed academic sources beyond the DSM-5 and Morrison (2014) to support your psychosocial treatment
suggestions. Be sure to consider cultural competence when reviewing treatment options and interventions for the client’s disorder.
4. Psychopharmacological treatment: In your clinical opinion, are there any relevant and appropriate psychopharmacological
treatment options for this client’s disorder? Would psychotherapy be a better option? Or would the client benefit from both? Explain
why.
5. Conclusion: Provide a concluding paragraph to summarize your thoughts on this client, including key takeaways from your
assessment and diagnosis.

When you try to leave for work, you get an overwhelming sense of “dread” and find it difficult to leave the house. You go back to check on whether
