As humans on Planet Earth, we can begin to view Biology as providing solutions for areas of concern that biological research and technology hope to solve. Four of these large concerns fall under the umbrella of bioengineering in terms of potential benefit or future quagmire.
These concerns are:
1. Agriculture: in terms of feeding a rapidly growing human population with the same water and soil resources,
2. Conservation: environmental collapse of varying degrees in global ecosystems,
3. Medicine and health: in terms of a global population, and inequities of income and access,
