Begin each paragraph by clearly defining/explaining the theory in your own words. Explain the theory in no more than three sentences.
Include and analyze specific examples presented in the film that relate to the theory. You must include a MINIMUM OF THREE specific examples (not general examples) from the film for EACH theory (this is the minimum number of examples, feel free to exceed the minimum). This means that your paper will include at least a total of nine specific examples from the film (three examples in each theory-focused paragraph and three theories for a total of nine examples).
Be thorough and clearly explain how the theory applies to each example included, explain application of theory.
Apply the key terms/concepts and research/study data associated with each of the theories to the examples from the film throughout your analysis (do not just note the terms in your definitions of the theories, give specific examples of the key terms/concepts). It is required that you apply the key terms associated with each social theory.
Bold all key terms, theories, and research data included in your paper. Bold titles of theories, terms, and research data when you apply them directly to the examples from the film. Do not bold terms when you are merely explaining the theory.

Papers must be in essay format (no bullet points or subheadings).

Include key terms and concepts where necessary in your introduction.
Body of paper: The body of your paper should consist of three main topic/theory-focused paragraphs, one paragraph for each of the three theories of deviancethat you are including in your paper (long paragraphs are acceptable and expected). Begin each main theory paragraph by defining/explaining the theory in your words. Include, discuss, and analyze each of the examples presented in the film for each theory. Each theory-focused paragraph must include a minimum of three specific examples from the film that directly applies to the theory, this is the minimum, feel free to exceed three examples. You must also apply each of the key terms/concepts and research/study data associated with the theory – directly apply the key terms and research data to the examples from the film. It is required that you explain application, explain how the theory, terms, and research data specifically apply to the examples from the film.
Conclusion: Conclude your paper with a conclusion/concluding paragraph.Restate your thesis, reinforce the main idea, and discuss the sociological perspective of deviance. Include any final thoughts on the topic. Include key terms/concepts as needed.

It is only required that you utilize the film, online deviance lecture, and the chapter on deviance in the textbook for this assignment (no other resources are needed to complete this paper assignment). The works cited page should be the last page of your paper, on its own page. If your paper does not include a works cited page your paper will be considered plagiarized as indicated in the rules of plagiarism (and no points will be earned).
